Pickleball’s 14-year-old phenom Anna Leigh Waters picked up another impressive double victory on Championship Sunday taking Gold in the Pro Women’s Doubles and Pro Women’s Singles divisions making her the youngest player in history to win at Nationals. Anna Leigh also won a Bronze medal in Pro Mixed Doubles to top off the week.

INDIAN WELLS, CA (December 13, 2021) -- Yesterday, Leigh Waters and her fourteen year old daughter Anna Leigh Waters won their second Professional Pickleball Women’s Doubles Championship at the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships beating Lea Jansen and Irina Tereschenko in the 3 out of 5 Gold Metal Match: 11-2, 11-5, 11-5 (Highlight 1+ min)
Earlier in the day, the Delray Beach, FL, based teen became the youngest to win a Professional Pickleball Women’s Championship Singles title beating Jill Braverman in the 2 out of 3 Gold Medal match: 11-7, 11-3. (Watch Match Point)

Leigh and Anna Leigh (#TeamWaters) won the 2019 Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships Pro Women’s Doubles title. At 12 years 10 months, Anna Leigh became the youngest athlete to win a professional championship.
The TeamWaters Pickleball Story Began in 2017
“The mother/daughter duo picked up the sport back in 2017 when they evacuated their home in Florida due to Hurricane Irma and stayed with Leigh’s parents for a couple of weeks. Leigh’s dad introduced them to the sport and from there they were hooked. “I think we played like morning, noon and night for two weeks straight while we were up there and the rest is history,” said Leigh.”
